Check the delivery details and photo from your carrier, then check the delivery locations at your building. In Handback, you can check an address for reported packages and set up a watch. A result does not establish ownership: verification and package details are still needed to claim. If nothing is reported, contact your carrier or seller for help.
Does Handback guarantee that my package will be found?
No. Handback depends on someone reporting the package and on matching delivery details. A watch can help you follow future reports, but it is not live carrier tracking and does not replace contacting your carrier or seller.
What should I do if I receive someone else's package?
For an eligible private-carrier package, use Handback to photograph the shipping label and the package. You do not need an account to help return it. Handback reads the delivery details, checks for a matching recipient, and never offers a lookup of who lives at an address.
Does Handback work with USPS mail?
No. Handback does not accept U.S. Mail, letters, government correspondence, or other items handled by USPS. The app directs finders to return-to-sender and USPS pickup options instead.
Can someone look up my name or address in Handback?
Handback has no name lookup and never tells a searcher who lives at an address. An address search can indicate that a package has been reported there. A finder already has the delivery label; Handback does not reveal your government ID.
How does someone claim a misdelivered package?
Recipients verify their identity and registered address, then confirm package details such as the tracking number before a claim can move forward. This helps prevent someone else from claiming a package that is not theirs.
How are package handoffs arranged?
Once a claim is approved, the finder can offer a porch pickup or a public meeting spot. Handback provides a private pickup code and asks both people to confirm when the package is back home.
